Plant a Tree Day is coming up on September 28th, and we’re organizing tree-planting and tree-care events around the US and Canada to give people a chance to get their hands in the dirt and give back to nature. We are seeking photographers and videographers who are able to attend any of these events and provide some good media that we can use in our communications. For a full list of events and locations go to Photographers welcome at any/all of the locations listed there!

We’re looking for great photography (and possibly video) to support our new website (due for launch in June), and our social media channels. We’re looking for emotional imagery that conveys the very personal reasons that people support us. We’re looking for “hero” images of the region, rivers, wildlife (big and small… we dig black bears AND river bugs), landscapes & people enjoying the outdoors.

We need a video highlighting outdoor recreation at Split Rock Mountain. In 1993, the Lake Champlain Land Trust was part of a coalition, led by the Open Space Institute, that purchased much of Split Rock Mountain on the very day the land went up for auction. Now owned by the State, the Wild Forest Area offers world-class hiking and kayaking. The video would boost local tourism and draw hikers from the heavily used ADK High Peaks, protecting that fragile area and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
